    Founded in 1955, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein) is one of the nation’s premier institutions for medical education, basic research and clinical investigation.     List of Responsibilities

    • Must fulfill duties of previous grades;
    • Use hand and portable power tools, follow instructions and become familiar with all types of building machinery;
    • Hang metal doors; install and adjust door checks, door hardware, masonry door frames and drywall frames;
    • Cut and install glass;
    • Complete minor plumbing repairs, i.e.: replacing faucets, traps; fabricate and install various piping;
    • Assist in framing stud walls and installing sheetrock, tape sheetrock;
    • Remove and replace fixtures, switches and outlets; install temporary lighting and power;
    • Lay concrete block, finish concrete;
    • Install vinyl floor tile and prepare surfaces to receive vinyl tile;
    • Install all other types of flooring;
    • Fabricate and install counter tops and shelving;
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.


    Experience and Educational Background

    • High School Diploma and 4 years of related experience is required.
    • Valid driver’s license is preferred.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Must possess the strength and dexterity needed to perform the job and the physical ability to move equipment as necessary;
    • Must adhere to operational safety rules and regulations as deemed by the College;
    • Must be able to follow directives and possess good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants effectively;
    • Must possess a working knowledge of the electrical, plumbing, masonry, sheet metal, carpentry, and painting trades and possess the ability to perform work in all areas under supervision;
    • Must possess own hand tools and possess a working knowledge of all hand and power tools;
    • Must be able to work from blueprints;
    • May provide direction to lower level trade staff.
