    Position

    A team of researchers in the Division of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Montefiore Medical Center has been conducting research that aims to address disparities in HIV risk and access and utilization of appropriate HIV prevention services through implementation of a three multi-part intervention in a randomized control trial design within a network of school-based health centers. The Senior Clinical Interviewer will participate in recruitment and interviewing of study participants and related data collection.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Interview potential study participants for selection into the study; 
    • Follow safety protocols which may vary in accordance with the weather, project activity and areas assigned;
    • Assist in sourcing and recruiting a diverse pool of qualified field of participants by contacting community organizations, educational institutions, etc;  
    • Participate in field recruitment selection process (i.e. college recruiting, college relations, job fairs, etc.) to recruit study participants;
    • Maintain petty cash;
    • Maintain study database;
    • Assist in the development of recruitment and retention strategies for participant enrollment;
    • Review interview data for accuracy by fieldwork staff prior to submission to Assistant Project Director;
    • Evaluate and screen communities to determine method of strategy and plan of action for canvassing participants;
    • Assist interviewers on door-to-door screening, interviews and recruitment policies, processes, practices and procedures when necessary;
    • Assist the investigators with study related focus groups;
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma and at least 2 years of administrative support experience is required.  Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
    • Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook. May use other web based programs as assigned;
    • Must demonstrate good judgment, initiative and attention to detail;
    • Ability to check applicable policies and procedures.
