  • Responsible for recruiting subjects for the NYScreenPlus program. This includes, but is not limited to pre-review of eligible participants on the maternity wards and in-person recruitment;
  • Assist in the development of recruitment and retention strategies for participant enrollment;
  • Scheduling and coordination of recruited participants for follow-up visits and surveying;
  • Input data into centralized recruiting database;
  • Participate in research meetings. Act as a liaison to discuss new procedures that could be implemented and facilitate input on recruitment and educational materials;
  • Performs other related duties

  • High School Diploma and at least 2 years of administrative support experience is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Clinical research experience preferred
  • Bi- or multi-lingual preferred, including Spanish;
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organizational skills, problem solving, and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and independently is essential;
  • Ability to check applicable policies and procedures.

The Senior Clinical Interviewer will join an NIH-funded, high profile clinical research study focused on pilot newborn screening for rare disorders. In this important role, you will assist the research team with implementation of study protocols and recruitment of participants. Primary responsibilities will be recruitment and assist with development of effective recruitment strategies for the NYScreenPlus study.
