Oversee the daily operations of the research projects and manage team of study coordinators.
Coordinate all aspects of the projects with the study team.
Hire, train and supervise team of study/research coordinators, outreach workers, student researchers, and volunteer staff.
Lead weekly project meetings.
Supervise participant recruitment, tracking, and follow-up.
Manage all Institutional Review Board (IRB)-related activities
Create regular reports for the IRB, funders (NIH and others) and PI.
Develop new scientific hypotheses and research questions to be addressed using data from existing datasets from clinical trials, including commonly available national datasets; conduct statistical analyses and draft manuscripts (with support from the PI, co-investigators and biostatisticians), and presentations; assist with grant applications: assist with writing/editing grant proposals.
Coordinate meetings with study partners and represent study at study site meetings.
Attend meetings to present study results and to meet with collaborators at other study sites (e.g. schools and clinics).
The Project Manager will work closely with Dr. Reznik, Professor of Pediatrics and Vice Chair of Clinical and Community-Based Research.
Minimum Masters level study in Epidemiology or related health field required, and 3-5 years of related expereince
Experience with advanced data analysis and statistical skills, secondary data analyses and writing manuscripts.
Experince managing large RCT and research teams.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of epidemiological research methods and biostatistics.
Ability to work independently on ideas for data analyses, manuscripts and grants (with input from PI and other collaborators)
Flexibility and willingness to work evenings and weekends are necessary
Detail oriented
Ability to manage multiple priorities and proojects while working as part of a geographically disbursed team, work with minimal supervision, and adhere to study protocols
