Staff Nurse, Occupational Health Services

· Performance of Part I health assessments for new hires;

· History and physical, draw blood, administer TB testing, perform immunizations;

· Maintain medical records;

· Obtain consent and take care of other legal requirements, such as immunization notifications;

· Review lab results;

· Follow-up on lab results;

· Perform annual health assessments;

· Review Part II physical results;

· Refer to Weiler Occupational Health Service as appropriate;

· Assist with 3rd year medical student clearance process;

· Assist with fit testing program;

· Focus on health assessments and records of basic science departments;

· Function as head nurse in their absence;

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

This position can either be full time or part time.

Graduate of an accredited program for RN education and a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State is required.

The Staff Nurse performs health assessments and follows-up on results under the supervision of the Head Nurse in the Occupational Health Services Department.
