POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work with Pl to develop the study protocol and protocol amendments for the IRB as needed, including the development of new measures.
  2. Manage all aspects of the IRB including submitting progress reports, adverse events, and protocol deviations.
  3. Manage data collection, analysis and cleaning, performing regular audits to ensure that the data collected are complete and accurate, and that the research is being conducted as outlined in the protocol and that the Pl stays informed.
  4. Assist Pl with preparation of grant proposals (new and competing renewals).
  5. Facilitate the preparation of conference abstracts, oral presentations, and poster presentations, and participate in the development of manuscripts for publication.
  6. Represent the study at internal and external academic meetings and community events. Act as a liaison to project partners to discuss new procedures that could be implemented.
  7. Recruit, acclimate, and supervise undergraduate and graduate student research interns.
  8. Work with Departmental Administrator to develop and monitor project budgets.
  9. Attend patient clinics to manage the recruitment of participants into the study, oversee study follow up procedures, and questionnaires from study participants.
  10. Be responsible for remote recruitment of participants, remote follow-up study visits, and collection of questionnaires from study participants through REDCap.
  11. Have the opportunity to attend departmental and division Grand Rounds, Pediatric Research day, virtual research meetings, and other learning opportunities.
  12. Manage long-term follow up with participants for Pl's longitudinal research project.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 1-3 years related experience.
  2. Master's Degree preferred.
  3. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and REDCap and have the ability to apply technology to resolve problems.
  4. Outstanding judgment, initiative, organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  5. Outstanding personal skills and comfort with remote (phone and video conferencing) outreach to potential participants.
  6. Can be relied upon to ensure that activities within areas of specific responsibility are completed in a timely manner and within budget
  7. Outline project goals and timelines and reviews progress at defined intervals.
  8. Ability to work well in a team setting and independently is essential.
  9. Knowledge of basic statistical tests; familiarity with STATA, SPSS, SAS, or R and ability to perform data analysis preferred.
  10. Spanish-speaking strongly preferred.

USD $58,500.00/Yr.

About Us

The Sr. Study Coordinator manages research project activities funded by the NIH as well as private funders, being conducted by Dr. Tamar Rubinstein, the Principal Investigator. The research study “Engagement and Depression in Adolescents and Young Adults with Childhood-Onset Lupus” (NCT05693571, NIH K23 AR080803) is focused on understanding psychosocial factors influencing health outcomes in youth with lupus. The Sr. Study Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of data collection and administrative and regulatory tasks related to the study execution. This person may also assist the Principal Investigator with the development of future studies. The Sr. Study Coordinator manages professional and support staff, reviewing work processes and products to ensure study protocol is followed as written and approved by the Einstein IRB
