POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall Responsibilities

  • Coordinate psycho-oncology services delivered by trained volunteers/interns (e.g., BOLD Doula bedside visit program, mental health counseling interns)
  • Coordinate recruitment, screening and onboarding of BOLD interns/volunteers
  • Assist with curriculum development and training of BOLD cancer wellness interns and patient volunteers
  • Maintain tracking and evaluation of BOLD psycho-oncology services and volunteers

 

Daily Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with program director and managers in the psychosocial oncology / cancer health equity operations.
  • Provide support to director and team leaders in screening, onboarding, training, supervision and evaluation of:
    • psychosocial oncology program (PSOP) interns
    • various volunteers (BOLD Doulas)
    • cancer survivor volunteer peer navigators (BOLD Buddies)

Coordinate daily volunteer/intern patient support activities, documentation, and evaluation.

  • Maintain notes and tracking databases to document psychosocial oncology activities.
  • Provide support to director and team leaders in developing and updating training curriculum development and materials.
  • Provide support for coordinating educational enrichment opportunities for trainees.
  • Serve as liaison between interns/volunteers, team leaders and course directors on a range of training, administrative, and other clinical/training matters. 
  • Review chart documents, prepare evaluation summaries and generate status/progress reports on interns/volunteers’ performance and progress.  
  • Participate in special events/projects, as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and administrative tasks, as requested by the program director.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology or other related clinical field.
  • Masters in mental health counseling preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in behavioral health services, experience with oncology populations a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Intermediate level in MS Office suite applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Creative, innovative, out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Works efficiently in a team environment as well as independently.
  • English/Spanish bilingual.

Minimum Salary Range

USD $62,400.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary Range

USD $62,400.00/Yr.

About Us

The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Deputy Director of Community Engagement and Cancer Health Equity, Founding Director, BOLD Cancer Wellness Program, Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center (MECCC).   The Coordinator will work within a multi-faceted cancer wellness initiative contributing to training, supervision, and coordination of clinical services that fall under the psychosocial oncology arm of the MECCC Community Outreach & Engagement program. This individual will assist director and program managers in student intern, lay navigator, and patient volunteer screening, training and supervision, assist in evaluation efforts, and help coordinate, co-facilitate/conduct, and evaluate cancer patient support groups, workshops, and counseling sessions.
