The Dominick P. Purpura Department of Neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine –Montefiore Medical Center invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions from outstanding candidates with an interest and expertise in fundamental or translational neuroscience. We are particularly interested in applicants working in the following areas: synapses/inter-cellular signaling; circuits of behavior; sensory processing; and/or degeneration. We are seeking applicants with a proven track record of research excellence who are addressing critical scientific questions with innovative and bold approaches, using any model system.

Candidates will be considered for tenure-track positions at all levels. We seek candidates whose skills and personal and professional experience have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to excellence in research, education, mentoring, collaboration, and to the communities we serve.
Applicants must have a PhD, MD/PhD, MD, or equivalent degree. Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain a vibrant research program that will be supportable by extramural funding.

The base salary range is $130,000-$220,000.
