About Us

Albert Einstein School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Project Managers to work within its Standardized Patient Program. The Project Managers will provide support and assistance to  the SP Program’s Manager across Einstein’s undergraduate medial students curriculum, as well as GME programs, and outside client programs. Project Managers will also be assigned individual projects for which they will have leadership roles & responsibilities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Ongoing general responsibilities for SP Program:

  • Assist with ongoing recruitment, hiring, training and monitoring the performance of SPs. 
  • Maintain SP database (headshots, resumes, demographic & biographical info, consent forms).
  • Assist facilitation of annual professional development training for SPs (bias mitigation, verbal feedback, communication skills checklists, comment writing).
  • Proctor, lead student orientations, and provide day-of management for programs involving SPs.

 

Ongoing project specific responsibilities for SP Program and individual outside client projects:

  • Instructional and operational aspects to include the recruitment, hiring, training and evaluation of standardized patients, and other assigned staff (proctors, control techs), maintaining accurate accounting of work hours for SPs & other assigned staff.
  • Staffing (proctors, SPs, orientation leaders) assigned projects.
  • Preparation, review, and modification of case bios, checklists, running scripts, orientation scripts, schedule matrices.
  • Assists in case design and development.
  • Updating and maintaining documents (per-project) for SPs/trainers/proctors: case bios, checklists, information/sign-in sheets & manuals for SPs and proctors. 
  • Maintain/submit per-project payroll records. 
  • Project specific standardized patient training, including case portrayal, PE technique (with faculty), history and communication skills checklist standardization, and verbal feedback. 
  • SP performance review, ongoing review of inter-rater reliability, continuous quality improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health care discipline, education, theater or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Minimum of five years of experience in use of standardized patients in medical education; specifically clinical skills assessment and learner feedback.
  • Experience with clinical skills assessment (OSCE) management.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software as required by the department. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; a team player, with proven ability to work effectively and communicate professionally with a wide variety of individuals.
  • Ability to interpret, comprehend and transmit complicated and detailed instructions.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Able to perform duties independently, within needed timeline and with a minimal need for direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of simulation/acting skills

 

Please note: This position requires work both on-site at Einstein’s campus in the Bronx, as well as travel to outside client’s locations in around the five-boroughs of New York City. As well, flexibility of schedule is required to be able to provide support to SP Programs as they are scheduled.

This position’s full-time status could change to part-time, with 6 months’ notice, contingent upon contracts with outside clients

Minimum Salary Range

USD $68,000.00/Yr.
