About Us

The Albert Einstein College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics/Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York is looking for an outstanding individual to work as a senior study coordinator starting in early June of 2026. A minimum 2-year commitment is required. As a senior study coordinator, you will work with attendings in the Department of Pediatrics on a variety of clinical research projects, covering topics such as neonatology, critical care, and chronic disease. You will be working directly with the Chair of the department, allowing you to gain an in-depth understanding of how an academic children’s hospital operates. The senior research coordinator will gain valuable experience in preparation for a career in medicine. Additionally, you will serve as a resident team coordinator (RTC), functioning as a member of our hospital medicine teams and assisting with the non-clinical, research tasks required to provide our patients with holistic care. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities:

  • Work with PI to develop the study protocol and protocol amendments for the IRB as needed, including the development of new measures.
  • Manage data collection, analysis and cleaning, performing regular audits to ensure that the data collected are complete and accurate, and that the research is being conducted as outlined in the protocol. 
  • Manage the collection of data from importable and exportable formats for rapid dissemination to PIs and sponsors.
  • Develop appropriate progress reports for the PI, study funding agency and the IRB.
  • Assist in manuscript, abstract, and grant preparation.
  • Facilitate the preparation of conference abstracts, oral presentations, and poster presentations. Opportunities to present at conferences
  • Frequent interaction with research staff and participants, including: physicians, nurses, patients, and families
  • Opportunity to attend department conferences, lectures, and grand rounds
  • Serve as an interdisciplinary liaison between patients and multiple hospital services (nursing, radiology, social work, laboratory, pharmacy, subspecialties)
  • Supervise and coordinate our volunteer RTC team
  • Assist in Departmental research event planning
  • Ensure that adverse events and protocol deviations are submitted to the IRB.
  • Represent the study at internal and external academic meetings and community events. 
  • Work with Departmental Administrator to develop and monitor project budgets.

 

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong academic record. Previous research experience is desired, but not required. The ideal candidate will display careful attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong critical thinking skills, and efficiency and flexibility within a team. The Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Children’s Hospital at Montefiore is located in the Bronx, New York, a culturally diverse borough, with a large portion of Spanish-speaking individuals, so Spanish proficiency is encouraged. Additionally, a basic knowledge of statistics and/or statistical programs (such as R, SPSS, SAS) is advantageous. Should an applicant receive an interview, references will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 1-3 years  related experience.
  2. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
  3. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to apply technology to resolve problems.
  4. Outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail are essential. 
  5. Can be relied upon to ensure that activities within areas of specific responsibility are completed in a timely manner and within budget
  6. Outline project goals and timelines and reviews progress at defined intervals.
  7. Ability to work well in a team setting and independently is essential.
  8. Proven knowledge of SPSS, SAS, or other statistical software and ability to perform data analysis preferred.
  9. Clinical trials certification by SOCRA preferred

Scope of Responsibilty:

  1. May liaise with study participants and interact with research staff on a daily basis.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is listed below. Albert Einstein College of Medicine considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Minimum Salary Range

USD $58,500.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary Range

USD $61,000.00/Yr.
